V3 Hotels is currently and actively working on two great properties in our home borough of Brooklyn, NY. Both of these hospitality projects are located on Duffield Street in Downtown Brooklyn which is ever-increasingly being labeled as ‘Hotel Row’. Duffield Street is a very special block for many of us, and part of the excitement of these two developments is the historical and cultural aspect of the location, as well as the new and upcoming additions to our block and neighborhood.
These projects are running concurrently with the ongoing restructuring and revitalization of the Downtown Brooklyn area which includes the streetscape improvements on the Fulton Mall, the Willoughby Square Park development, and a host of other new construction and development in the residential, commercial and retail sectors.
V3 Hotels is very excited about these developments because they are located in our own back yard. Our roots are in Brooklyn so we are eager to help create opportunity in our community because the more successful our community is, the more successful we are as a company. We are working with community leaders and programs, such as Workforce1 and the DBAOC to achieve these goals and to make sure Brooklyn runs Brooklyn. We are also committed to energy efficiency by working with such programs as LEED, NYSERDA and EnergyStar to help our environment and reflect our mission of being ‘Green’. We are as committed to the future generations of tomorrow as we are to today’s.
Even in this challenging economy, these two projects are a priority for our company. We want to be effective and efficient without worrying solely about the bottom line. Even though our financials are important to us, we know that our ability to grow and succeed depends on our ability to do things with integrity and not solely based on the bottom line. We will not waiver from our morals, goals and personal standards. We chose Duffield Street because we know we can, and will, make it work on all levels and for all of our guests, neighbors, friends, families, and Brooklynites alike. We are proud to be able to build in our great Borough and we want Duffield Street to be a table-setter for our company and a benchmark to others in the hospitality industry. We want to show everyone who came before, and everyone who will come after, that you can do the right thing as a developer and be successful at the same time.

231 Duffield Street |
Our recently announced project, Hotel 718 will be located at 231 Duffield Street. This new hotel is being developed by V3 Hotels, designed by H. Thomas O’Hara and operated by Benchmark Hospitality. Located in Downtown Brooklyn just steps away from Brooklyns brownstone neighborhoods, DUMBO, MetroTech, Brooklyn Bridge Park, as well as being minutes from Manhattan via most major subway and bus lines. The red artesian textured brick and matching mortar will give the building seamless verticality, while the angular facade will give each room a different view floor by floor. Hotel 718 will consist of 128 guest rooms featuring 4 master suites, a bar & lounge, cardio room, spa, rooftop sundeck, private outdoor terraces and original works of art by local artists throughout the building. More than 2,500 square feet of ground floor retail space has been dedicated to food & bevarge. This newly announced restaurant will be helmed by Chef Harold Dieterle (Perilla & Kin Shop) and called The Marrow.
Hotel 718 will be a reflection of our desire to create a guest experience which is enjoyable, rewarding and unique from one stay to the next. The timeline for Hotel 718 and The Marrow will have us greeting new guests in February of 2012. We look forward to seeing you there.
